Presentation of the documentary Our Friend Ayrton

Why does the legend of Ayrton Senna continue to shine so brightly, more than thirty years after his tragic death in Imola? Journalist and writer Giorgio Terruzzi and sculptor Stefano Pierotti attempt to answer this question, accompanied by the voices of those who preserve his memory and keep his legend alive. An invisible bond that transforms remembrance into community, and passion into devotion and a sense of familiarity.

The documentary explores this feeling and attempts to explain the reasons behind it. A portrait of Senna gradually emerges through the reflections and testimonies of those who knew him, including journalist Giorgio Terruzzi, who recounted Senna’s ghosts during his final night spent in Suite 200 of the Hotel Castello in Castel San Pietro, near Imola; his close friend Gian Carlo Minardi; and Matteo Orsi, son of Senna’s official photographer.
